About Article50.tools
Article50.tools is an independent directory of software for complying with the transparency obligations in Article 50 of the EU AI Act — watermarking and content provenance, AI-content detection, and AI governance platforms. It exists because these obligations became enforceable in August 2026 and the information landscape around them is scattered across law-firm briefings, vendor marketing and half-updated blog posts.
How listings are curated. The catalog is maintained by a continuously running research pipeline that discovers tools, verifies their websites are live, maps each tool to the specific Article 50 obligations it addresses, and reviews public submissions. Every listing links directly to the vendor — we don't gate anything behind email capture.
How the site makes money. Vendors can pay for expedited review, featured placement, or category sponsorship. Paid placement is always visibly badged and never changes a tool's description, obligation mapping, or whether a competitor stays listed. See Get featured for pricing.
What this site is not. It is not legal advice. Obligation mappings and guides reflect our reading of the Act and Commission guidance; consult counsel for binding interpretation.
