Content Credentials tools in this directory
Content Credentials are the C2PA-based way to attach cryptographically signed provenance to media: how it was made, whether generative AI was involved, and what edits followed. This page lists tools already in the catalog with a C2PA flag — we do not invent capabilities. Use the checker for a first-pass look at whether those bytes are still attached.
What ‘C2PA’ means on a listing here
A C2PA badge on a tool card means the public catalog entry describes Content Credentials / C2PA manifests (attach, verify, or both). It is not an endorsement, a certification, or proof that a given file you received is validly signed.
Metadata is fragile. Platforms and transcoding often drop manifests. Pairing credentials with a watermark is how several listings describe robustness — see the SynthID vs C2PA guide.
How this relates to the free checker
article50.tools/check looks for Content Credentials presence signals in bytes you drop or a public URL. It is not SynthID detection, not full C2PA validation, and not legal advice.
If the checker finds a strong signal, use a real verifier from the cards below. If it finds nothing, the credential may have been stripped — or never applied.
